In year 4 we have been learning about similes and metaphors.Our favourite simile is... 'The  head dress was as colourful as a parrot.'Our favourite metaphor is...' His eyes were the night sky.'

Poetry with year 4

Year 4 have been writing some great poems to put on our class poet-tree! 

The children wrote colour poems using metaphors and similes on a colourful leaf and added them to the tree.

Dr Sparkle's Cleaner

We have been doing about persuading people. We practised by doing an advert about cleaners. We wrote scripts and wore costumes. Me and my friend Daniel wore some cool spy glasses. We had Indera and Letita be the kids, Keren the mum, Hafsah the camera girl and narrator, Daniel as Dr Sparkle is assistant called Professor Clean and me as Dr Sparkle. It was awesome. Mr... said that the best advert would win a bar of Dairy Milk each. We were so close to winning. My group's cleaner was called Dr Sparkle's Cleaner.
